Sovanapoom Care's agriculture project is located in Banteay Meanchey Province in the north-western corner of Cambodia. These photos show our first crops in 2010 of rice and cassava. The rice is being harvested, processed and bagged. The cassava grows as tuber roots under the ground and will be harvested in 2011. The young men working in these pictures are part of Sovanapoom Care's vocational training program.

Baptism Photos PDF Print E-mail

One way we declare our faith as Christians is by being baptised in water.  In November we had many hands go up when the opportunity to be baptised was presented, so one Sunday after our normal morning church we had a very special baptism service.

Thirty two of our young people took the stage and talked publicly about their faith.  They shared with the church how they believe in Jesus and why they wanted to be baptised.

Pastor Thoeun and Tonet took the group to the river (which was just under our building) to pray with each individually and baptise them. The children have an amazing faith, the Bible speaks about the faith of a child, seeing and hearing these young ones share about their faith in ways that are obviously very real to them was very encouraging.

Water Park PDF Print E-mail

Sometimes we have the opportunity to take the students to the water park in Phnom Penh. This is a very exciting day for everyone when we travel through the city in Tuk Tuks and arrive at the water park with slides, pools and even a water playground.  Some of our happiest memories come from here, just checkout these photos from a visit in 2008!
