Early every Sunday morning hundreds of children and mothers make their way through the surrounding villages to the Sovanapoom Centre.  Sometimes they trek through slippery, muddy paths, nearly always older siblings are carrying at least one young one with them if not more.  The Education and Feeding program regularly attracts crowds of between 1500 up to 2800 people who come to learn and receive food each week. 

Through this outreach many children and families have received life saving advice, medical attention and a regular meal.  We are able to assist many of the area’s poorest families by providing everyone who attends with a meal and teaching the basic truths found in the Bible.  In this way many in desperate need have come to us and we’ve been able to help them further. 

The education and feeding program is just one of the many ways that Sovanapoom Care impacts the local community.
